Basic & Advanced CBCT Image Navigation and Manipulation
This hands-on Continuing Education course on Cone Beam Computed Tomography Image Navigation and Manipulation is based on the use of CBCT scans for implant therapy treatment planning, mandibular canal and maxillary sinus evaluation.
Delivered in two 3-hour sessions, this course is structured as 1 hour of abstract concepts of CBCT technology and 5 hours of hands-on training, for a total of 6 CE hours.
General and advanced image manipulation techniques will be demonstrated by Dr. Cleber Silva while attendees perform the same tasks on their individual laptop computers.
This course is intended for clinicians and their staff who need to have an understanding how CBCT images are stored, displayed, manipulated and transferred.

Surgical Guide Manufacturing in the Dental Office using a 3D Printer
A hands-on Continuing Education course on use of CBCT technology for in-office fabrication of surgical guide using an in-house 3d printer. This course discusses virtual placement of an implant, abutment and restoration and the steps involved in designing, exporting and printing a surgical guide. Knowledge of implant treatment planning is a pre-requisite.
Delivered in two 3-hour sessions, this course is structured as 2 hours of instruction on CBCT manipulation for the design of the implant, abutment and restoration, 3 hours of instruction on the attributes, pitfalls and technique of image preparation for 3D printing of surgical guides and 1 hour of hands-on implant placement on previously 3D printed models of patients.
Participating dentists will have a chance to see a case uploaded to a 3D printer and the printing of a surgical guide as the course progresses.

CBCT Training Program for Dental Assistants & Hygienists
A didactic Continuing Education course designed to train Dental Assistants and Hygienists on CBCT technique, and facilitate an understanding of radiation levels and their effects on the patient, HIPAA-compliance with image storage, viewing and transfer and medico-legal obligations of the dental team regarding use of CBCT technology.
This course is designed to comply with New York State Regulations regarding CBCT image- taking by dental assistants & hygienists.

CBCT Basic & Advanced Interpretation
A one-on-one or group hands-on Continuing Education course delivered over Internet conferencing.
Basic and advanced principles of CBCT Interpretation will be discussed based mostly on peer-reviewed dental literature. Participants are expected to read multiple published papers prior to discussion.
This is a case-based, image manipulation course that is intended to expose practicing clinicians to understanding the incidence and significance of incidental findings on CBCT scans and how to make a judgement of incidental findings that are normal from those that need to be referred for further evaluation.
